SMS Notifications

YipYap delivers SMS alert notifications directly to your phone. No third-party account setup required.

Setup Guide

Section titled “Setup Guide”
  1. Navigate to Settings > Notification Channels.
  2. Click Add Channel and select SMS.
  3. Enter the recipient’s phone number in international format (e.g., +15559876543).
  4. Click Test to send a test message.
  5. Click Save.

Message Content

Each SMS includes:

  • Monitor name.
  • Current status (Down or Recovered).
  • A short link to the alert in the dashboard.

Messages are kept concise to fit within SMS length limits.

Multiple Recipients

Section titled “Multiple Recipients”

Create a separate SMS channel for each recipient phone number. You can add multiple SMS channels to a single escalation policy step to notify several people at once.

Included Allowances

Section titled “Included Allowances”

The Pro plan includes 100 SMS messages per month. The Enterprise plan includes unlimited SMS. Usage is tracked in Settings > Billing.
